Seve Velasco
Multicultural percussionist with studies of percussion from Western Africa, Gnaoua, Touareg, Berber, Brazilian, Rajasthan (India); all of them with native teachers. Traditional and Afro-Cuban Percussion and Dance at ISA (Instituto superior de Artes) in Havana, Cuba.
Creativity and Primitive expression, Musical expression, Diafreoterapia (body/mind awareness) and Gestalt at the Instituto Municipal de Expresión (Barcelona). Transpersonal dance and percussion at Escuela de Expresión y Comunicación (Barcelona). Music Theraphy specialised in Autism Spectrum and Advanced at FEAPS.
Currently managing and coordinating the project of Asociación Percusión social, as well as Music therapist and Facilitator of percussion activities in Fundación Aspanide, Fundación Hospitalidad, Asociación Dispiera, and Neighbourhood Association Can Tiana. Collaborator in Autism assistance with Instituto Dexeus.
Previous experience as a Music Therapist in Autismo Granada, Diputación de Granada (Provincial Council of Granada), Instituto de la Juventud de Andalucía (Youth Institute of Andalusia) and Bienestar Social de Barcelona (Barcelona’s Social Welfare).
Xavier Martínez
Musician (drummer-percussionist). Master of Music Therapy at UB. Studies in classical piano and music theory for 5 years at Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu (Higher Conservatory of Music Liceu). Studies of modern music in Barcelona: Tallers de Músics, Espacio Musical Aviñón, Escuela Alois Haba. Diploma of musician-instrumentalist by INCANOP (Catalan Institute of New Professions) through the Conservatorio Municipal of Barcelona (Conservatory of Barcelona). University extension course on the specialisation of drum-set, percussion and piano at ISA (Instituto superior de Arte) in Havana, Cuba.
Music Therapist at CT San Miguel MAIF, Asociación Centro Pedralbes, CO Les Corts, Fundación Esclat, Care Centre El Milenario, Centre Obert Heura and Fundación Taller de Músics.
He takes part of different musical projects as a drummer (Patch, Alf4, The Great Toad) and has a lot of years of experience playing live music.
Currently studying the Master of BAPNE Methodology.
